Practical tips for sorting and recycling

It is necessary to take into account all aspects of the process from the very beginning, then it will be possible to quickly and without hassle organize the disposal of all unnecessary and even get a small income from it.

Where to recycle and how to organize its removal?

Most cities have processing plants. To find them you need to contact the district administration or just use the search on the Internet. They independently process the material and are so interested in it that they readily pay a lot of money for certain products and even help organize their removal. Especially when you need to transport bulky cargo or immediately a large batch of raw materials.

Tip: It should be borne in mind that often the organization of garbage transportation is possible only if a certain weight of material is gained. Therefore, you should not count on the successful organization of the process if only one container for recyclables is available. Important points in the organization of sorting and garbage collection

If you learn how to properly dispose of garbage, it turns out that only food waste and some specific products that cannot be recycled go directly to the garbage chute. Those who are especially advanced in this field prefer not even throwing away food leftovers, but use special vermicomposters. With their help, you can get rid of the smell of rotting products, and at the exit get a wonderful fertilizer for summer cottages or home plantings.

Disposal is possible only under a number of conditions, therefore, before deciding where to take the garbage, you need to learn how to properly collect, sort and store it:

1. Choose a place where the container will stand. To save space, it is recommended to take a large container, which is exposed inside with several smaller containers. Then the design will not take up much space and will look decent. In addition, you can purchase sorting boxes with lids that are stacked on top of each other. Bulky cargo is better to be taken out immediately or stored on the balcony. According to statistics, a small family fills a standard container in about 1-2 months.
2. My used items. Before sorting the garbage, it must be washed, otherwise food residues will rot.This will not only make the raw materials unusable, but also deliver many unpleasant minutes to the owners of the apartment and their neighbors. Just a few seconds under running water will prevent a similar problem and save energy resources of processing companies.
3. Compress items. Most of the garbage, even if it is bulky, can be reduced in size if desired. Boxes are folded, aluminum cans are crushed, open containers are placed one into the other, waste paper is tied with twine.

In the case of some products, additional processing must be carried out before they are disposed of. After you manage to find the point where the garbage will be handed over, it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with its rules for accepting raw materials so that everything is prepared in good quality initially.

Products that can and cannot be recycled, preparation features

Almost everything can be handed over for processing, most importantly, a separate container must be adapted for each product and the products prepared accordingly.

Waste paper:

• It is allowed to dispose of printing and clean writing paper, cardboard boxes and packaging without film on the surface, leaflets, banners, handouts.
• Products must be carefully assembled, eliminating staples, ropes and staples. Tearing sheets is not necessary! Grinding spoils the structure of products, so the quality of recycled materials is reduced.
• Regardless of where the products are sold, it is forbidden to use already recycled materials. These include egg pads, toilet paper, store checks, paper napkins and scarves, disposable cardboard dishes, wallpaper (used, with an adhesive layer), photographs, diapers, travel tickets and some types of packaging.

Glass:

• We put glass jars and bottles from under food products, drinks, medicines in the appropriate container.
• Oil products cannot be processed; it cannot be completely washed.
• Ceramics are not used as recyclables.

Plastic:

• Each plastic product has a corresponding marking, by which you can determine the possibility of disposal of the item. These can be bottles for drinks and sauces (labeling 1), dairy products (labeling 2, 6), plastic containers (labeling 6), bottles for cosmetics and household chemicals (labeling 1, 2).
• Oil containers, blisters (from toothbrushes or razors), polystyrene, drinking tubes, toothbrushes, bags from frozen foods, chocolate, cereals and pasta, bags and disposable tableware are not recyclable.

Metal:

• We rent aluminum, tin and cans, iron lids from glass containers.
• Do not dispose of aerosol cans and used foil.
• Some metals have multiple processing cycles, which is very much appreciated. These items need to pay attention in the first place.

A separate container must be fitted for each group of materials listed. It is forbidden to store all garbage in one place, even if it has undergone appropriate treatment.
