Despite the doubts of many about the harmlessness of the main coloring ingredient - brilliant green - I hasten to assure: the most popular product of each home medicine cabinet is a hundred times more useful than any food coloring, which experienced and wise housewives have long abandoned. And participation in the process of dyeing onions does not raise any questions at all. This is the most traditional and time-tested way of coloring Easter eggs.

The procedure for painting Easter eggs with onion husks and greenery is simple, but it is important to carry out a number of preparatory measures in advance.

1. To avoid cracking on the shell, the eggs should be preheated for thirty minutes to room temperature - in warm water or simply left on the kitchen table.
2. It is important not to digest the eggs - with prolonged heat treatment, they lose their beneficial and flavoring properties. Want to feast on the “rubber” protein?
3. When cooking, it is recommended to add 2 tablespoons of salt to the water in half a liter of water. Salt will additionally strengthen the shell.
4. If you want to achieve a uniform color, you should wash the eggs in advance with soap or soda, wipe with vinegar or alcohol to degrease the surface - this will allow the paint to evenly spread over the shell.
5. It is better to add a couple of tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice to the coloring solution - this will additionally protect the color.
6. After staining, to shine, it is necessary to grease each egg with a cloth soaked in vegetable oil.
7. And the most, perhaps, the most important thing in this case is to quickly get rid of green spots, in which case you can use a conventional solvent or nail polish remover.

You will need:

• raw eggs, 10 pieces;
• husks from onions of different varieties, 1 liter (the volume is measured in a liter jar);
• gauze or nylon tights;
• threads
• a bottle of diamond greens;
• 1 to 2 tablespoons of salt;
• gloves
• scissors;
• vegetable oil.

If you use husks from different varieties of onions - onions and red - the color of the eggs will turn out to be more saturated.

1. Cut the onion husk into small pieces. To do this, dry cleanings should be laid out in a bowl and randomly cut with scissors (see photo). The result will be even more creative if you use a blender when grinding. Future speckles on the eggs will be sharper and finer.



2. Prepare the testicles in the above way - wash, degrease. Dampen them with water and gently roll them in a chopped “breading” husk so that the onion “confetti” fits tightly over the entire surface of the egg. 4. In a saucepan (not enameled and preferably not the newest, because in the process it risks being mercilessly painted), drop the nylon bags with eggs. Pour the puppies with cold water so that it covers them completely, and set to boil.
5. After boiling water, add a bottle of brilliant green water to it and boil the eggs for another 10-15 minutes. One bottle of diamond greens is enough for a dozen eggs. Accordingly, if you intend to use more products, the dose of brilliant green should be increased. And in general, in this recipe, as elsewhere, the elementary rule works: the more dye, the brighter the color.



6. At this stage, use gloves that protect your skin from staining. Remove the eggs from the pan, unfold and peel. Rinse well under running water. During drying, the pattern may float, so the finished eggs should be turned over periodically or wiped with a paper towel. Do not forget about vegetable oil, thanks to which they will shine like real polished marble.
