How and how to wash solid oil from clothes

Thick yellow-brown specific lubricating oil has an impressive set of components, thanks to which the mass is literally eaten into the fabric and fixed in the fibers. Since it is practically impossible to remove solid oil from many items of clothing, it is better to take care of protection in advance in cases where you have to work with the product.

If the trouble nevertheless happened, you can try one of the folk or modern means, but the chances of getting the perfect result are still low. Sometimes paint is removed along with a stain from the fabric, the fibers stretch or thin. Often things just have to be thrown away after aggressive processing.

Folk remedies in the fight against stains from solidol

Most often, when working with stains from solid oil, improvised tools are used. If such contamination is detected, it is really better not to pull and immediately try to remove the composition from the fiber texture. At home, you can wash solidol in one of the following ways:

Table vinegar. In half a liter of cool water we breed two tablespoons of vinegar. In the resulting composition, we moisten two cotton pads, which we apply to the stain on both sides and press well. We wait a couple of minutes, after which we begin to wipe the pollution from the clothes, acting so that the stain does not spread. Next, we wash the product as usual with powder or enzymatic detergent and dry in fresh air.
Turpentine and butter. We take a little butter, knead it in our hands to softness and apply to pollution. We wait about an hour, after which we treat the fatty formation with turpentine. After that, immediately we erase the item at the required mode at the maximum allowable temperature.
Ammonia and gasoline. Option for clothes with already dried stains of solid oil. Wet the cotton pad in refined gasoline, carefully wipe it with pollution, it should soften. We apply a few drops of ammonia to the wet area and erase the item with a powerful powder, you can even drive it through the machine a couple of times.
Water bath. Take a little warmed turpentine, apply it to a clean cloth and process problem areas. We apply a little liquid ammonia on them, after which we hold the fabric in a stretched form on the steam from the water bath for 3-5 minutes. Next, we erase the product as usual.
Laundry soap and margarine. Lightly heated margarine grease the stains from solidol and leave the fabric for 2-3 hours, so that the reagent acts. Next, we wash the product using laundry soap (best of all, tar).

Tip: Contrary to popular belief, dishwashing detergents will be completely useless when removing stains from turpentine from clothes. In the best case, the situation will not change; in the worst, the pollution will noticeably increase in size and become even more resistant to other reagents.

Ammonia with glycerin. With this approach, you can remove stains from solidol, even with delicate silk or fine wool. Pour warm water into the basin, add a tablespoon of glycerin and ammonia, stir. Soak the product in the solution for half an hour, after which we evaluate the result. If the stain has disappeared, then the garment should only be rinsed several times in cold water.

Petrol. We apply a special cleaned product directly to the stain, lightly using three soft brushes and send it to the wash. We evaluate the result and, if necessary, repeat the manipulation again.

It is worth considering that the above approaches can change the color of the fabric if it is bright or dark.Before you start using any of these tools, it is recommended to make sure that it is harmless in some hidden area of matter.

Advanced high performance formulations

For those who do not trust folk remedies, or have not received the desired result from their use, the following approaches exist:

Stain remover. We take any stain remover that suits the fabric of a particular type. We apply the composition to the contaminated part of the clothes, withstand as much time as indicated in the instructions. After that, we take a toothbrush with soft bristles and lay down three places on which the profile agent was applied. Next, rinse the fabric in cool water and, if necessary, repeat the manipulation from the very beginning.

Car shampoo. A rather unusual, but very effective version of the effect on solidol. We take a little shampoo, without diluting, apply it to traces of technical oil and leave for half an hour. You do not need to rub anything, after the specified time, simply rinse the product in cool water. If the contamination has not disappeared, then apply the shampoo to a still damp cloth and this time rub it lightly to form a small amount of foam. We wait another half hour and again rinse the thing in cool water. After such an impact, the formation should disappear, otherwise the tissue will not be able to save anything.

Best of all, professionals deal with stains from solidol on fabric. If there is such an opportunity, then it is worth thinking about visiting a dry cleaning service. This is especially true in cases of the formation of pollution on capricious, very bright or white things, children's clothing and various types of home textiles.
