Without appropriate chemical treatment, the spores of the parasite will only bind between the fibers and begin to actively multiply when they are in favorable conditions.
Mold on clothes can appear regardless of the type of raw material, synthetics and natural materials are equally susceptible to the phenomenon. Causes of mold on the tissue and prevention of the development of the problem

- Stains that appear on natural linen, cotton or white wool can be removed in two stages. First, soak things in a concentrated solution of laundry soap, especially resistant stains with an additional three bars. After half an hour, we rub the problem areas again and thoroughly rinse the products. Then the objects are immersed for several seconds in the peroxide solution (a tablespoon of 3% of the product per half a liter of water) and again thoroughly rinsed.
- If you carefully read the Domestos label, you can find out that the manufacturer himself recommends it as a bleach. It is this tool that can remove old mold on clothing. It is only necessary to dilute the concentrate well, otherwise it will affect the color of the product.
- In some cases, you can get rid of a persistent stain only by boiling. Add a tablespoon of bleach to half a liter of water. Spoiled things are immersed in boiling liquid and observe the reaction of the tissue. As soon as the pollution leaves, we pull out things, rinse in hot water and dry.
- From the surface of colorful cotton, the problem is deduced by ordinary chalk. Rub it into powder, sprinkle stains, cover with a layer of toilet paper and iron it with a hot iron. It remains only to remove the remnants of the mixture from the surface.
- To clean the surface of linen, you need to dissolve a tablespoon of salt and a teaspoon of ammonia in half a liter of hot water. If you soak the product in such a solution for half an hour, then you can easily remove the formation along with the smell.
- Mold on silk clothes is easily removed with turpentine. We apply a little turpentine on the affected area, with three, sprinkle with talcum powder and iron it through toilet paper with a hot iron. All dirt should pass from the fabric to the layer.
- Synthetics are best restored with ammonia. It must be diluted with water twice and applied to the spots, then rinsed. Only first you need to check the safety of the technique in an inconspicuous area.
- A universal remedy is a composition of medical alcohol and ascorbic acid. Vitamin C is dissolved in a liquid base and rubbed into problem areas. If we managed to get rid of dirt and odor, then we dry the products and only then we erase them using the traditional method.

Some housewives, before removing mold from clothes with one of the listed methods, try folk remedies. They are absolutely harmless to matter, and often help to remove stains even faster than aggressive chemicals.
- The pulp of fresh onion is ground into a homogeneous gruel and applied to the dirt, stand for 20 minutes and rinse. You can get rid of the pungent smell by airing things in the fresh air.
- Mold on clothes along with the smell is removed by soaking in yogurt for 12 hours. After the specified time, the product must be rinsed and washed in the traditional way.
- Lemon juice will help neutralize the unpleasant odor. We apply fresh liquid to the fabric, after the material is saturated, sprinkle the stain with salt. We wait until the thing is completely dry and wash it in the machine or manually.
The described methods are not recommended to be used too often, the destruction of fibers can be provoked. It is better to properly care for clothes and prevent mold in cabinets and chests of drawers. Dirty clothes should not be stored for weeks, it is better to wash them regularly, without giving the fungus any chance.
