Few people will be pleased to be an incomplete owner of their property and share it with some kind of insects, especially since they sometimes appear not only in bathrooms and in kitchens, but also in residential premises. And in such cases, it’s useful to know how to get rid of black cockroaches.

Where do cockroaches come from?

These annoying insects are very fond of moisture. Therefore, if the bathroom has poor ventilation, a tap or pipe leaks somewhere, households use water inaccurately, spraying it around plumbing fixtures, then the likelihood of black cockroaches is very high. Often they penetrate housing through various shafts - both ventilation and water pipes, if they are poorly sealed and form cracks.

Someone might say, “You think, they’re crawling!” But these insects are not so harmless. They crawl into the most secluded corners, into various household appliances, into the electrical wiring channels, spoiling them, laying eggs there and leaving waste products. Since wherever they crawl, then, of course, they carry a large number of microbes on themselves, dangerous for both people and domestic animals.

If there is free money and the opportunity to leave the apartment for a while - you can always turn to special services that will carry out pest control. The product is available at any pharmacy, is cheap, does not leave unpleasant odors after use. Acid powder is sprinkled on all places where usually the most cockroaches are observed. The poison acts, though quickly, but not instantly, and if the poisoned insect has time to touch one of its relatives, it will also destroy it, which allows you to get rid of a large number of them at once.
3. So that the poison can even attract insects to itself, boric acid is mixed with the yolks of raw eggs, balls are rolled from this mixture and allowed to dry, after which they are laid out at the places where insects appeared. The edible component attracts cockroaches, and the poison successfully poisons.
4. Previously, thermal exposure was applied - simply put, freezing a building. Now this option is suitable only for a country hut, but not for a private or apartment building, where although it will help get rid of insects, it will ruin communications.
5. Like other insects, black cockroaches do not like pungent odors. Therefore, fragrant herbs, brooms from bay leaves, strong spices, etc. can be effective for scaring them off for a while. But they all quickly disappear, and cockroaches get used to smells over time and do not respond to them.

4. Powders. They are scattered at the favorite places of black cockroaches and wait until they are poisoned and go to poison their relatives. However, the powder can attract a pet or a curious young child, and the effects of chemical poisoning can be very serious.
5. Aerosols. They allow not only to poison the places of cockroaches in the apartment, but also to catch up and destroy individuals trying to escape.
